Control Echo Devices with Tap Gestures
Control your Echo Device with tap gestures.
Firmly tap the top of your device to use Tap Gestures. Tap Gestures are on by default. To turn Tap Gestures off:
- Open the Alexa app
.
- Select Devices
.
- Select a device.
- Select Settings
.
- In the general section, select Tap Gestures.
- Turn on/off Tap Control.
Tip: To fix issues with Tap Gestures not working on your Echo device, confirm that the Mute button is off, and try to tap with more force on the device. Tap Gestures work best when you use the midsection of your fingers, and not your fingertips.
