Set up Password, PIN, or Pattern on Your Alexa Tablet

You can set a screen lock PIN, password, pattern, or fingerprint lock during initial setup.

To set up a password or PIN during initial setup:

When setting up your Alexa Tablet for the first time, you'll be prompted to set a PIN.

Note: Alternatively, you can choose either password or pattern instead of a PIN.

  1. Set up a PIN on the Set a screen lock PIN screen. Alternatively, tap on Screen lock options to choose between password, PIN, or a pattern.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions and confirm your choice.
  3. Tap Done to continue setup.
If you skip this step, you will see a message that PIN is required to set up Fingerprint unlock. You can still skip if you prefer not to set up the pin and fingerprint now, you can add a screen lock later from Settings.
