Using Email to Contacts with Alexa+

Send emails to your contacts through voice commands.

Note: Not all features and services will be available at once. New features will roll out across compatible devices during the Early Access period. For more information on available features and supported devices go to: Alexa+

Alexa's Email to Contacts feature lets you easily send emails to your contacts using just your voice, helping you stay connected with loved ones and friends. To turn on this feature, Alexa syncs contact information from your linked email accounts and stores it in the cloud.

To get started:

  1. Open the Alexa App .
  2. Select More.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Communicate"".
  5. Turn on Email my contacts.
  6. Select Add Account and follow the steps to complete email linking.
  7. Verify your default email address.

You can now send emails to your contacts. Just say, "Email [contact name]," and your message. Then, review the draft and confirm to send.

If you haven't linked your email account, Alexa can still draft the email but will need to send it to your own inbox first. Alexa can draft emails with text, formatting, images, and links, and learns your contacts over time.

Note: Alexa can only email your own contacts, not other household member’s contacts.
