About Amazon's Repeat Items service

The "Repeat Items" service helps customers save time building their grocery cart by putting their frequently bought items on repeat. Amazon customers in select locations can add products from eligible Grocery brands to their "Repeat Items" list.

How it works

Repeat Items are products you've selected for Amazon to automatically add to your cart. You have full control as these products are added to cart based on your preferred frequency (e.g., weekly), quantity (e.g., 1 unit), and day of the week (e.g., Friday), and Repeat Items will not be purchased until your cart is checked out.

Your Repeat Items will automatically be added to your cart when your preferred day of week is available for shopping. You will receive a notification whenever any of your active Repeat Items have been added to your cart. After Repeat Items add to cart, you can review and edit your cart, add more items, and place your order whenever you want.

How to find the Repeat Items page

When shopping from an eligible Grocery brand, the Repeat Items page can be found on the navigation bar at the top of the screen on desktop devices and on the You page for mobile devices. To get to the You page, simply tap the "You" icon on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.

How to add Repeat Items

  1. There are multiple ways to set up Repeat Items.
    1. You can visit the Grocery product detail page for an item and click the "Repeat this item" button to add that item to you Repeat Items list.
    2. You can browse for and add Repeat Items by visiting the Repeat Items page for an eligible Grocery brand. See 'How to find Repeat Items page' above.
    3. Throughout your shopping experience, you may also occasionally see widgets suggesting products to add to your Repeat Items list.
  2. After adding a product to your Repeat Items, you'll see a confirmation message followed by a default quantity and frequency suggestion (e.g., "1 every week"). You can adjust the default frequency and quantity by tapping the default quantity and frequency link or by visiting the Repeat Items page at any time. See "How to manage Repeat Items" section below.
  3. Please note that the price of an item may vary between when it was added to your Repeat Items list and the time of purchase. Additionally, like any other item, we cannot guarantee that your Repeat Items will always be in stock at the time of purchase or fulfillment.

How to manage Repeat Items

  • The Repeat Items page is your one-stop-shop to view, modify, remove, and/or add Repeat Items at any time. See 'How to find Repeat Items page' above.
  • Change day of week: To change your preferred day of week, use the "Grocery Day" drop-down selector near the top of the page.
  • Change quantity or frequency: To change the quantity and/or frequency for an item, tap on the quantity/frequency link below the product details, next to the logo.
  • Remove items: To remove a product from your Repeat Items list, click on the product image and then click the "Remove from Repeat Items" option in the product information window.
  • Swap items: To swap a product for something similar, click on the product image and then browse alternative items via the "Switch to a different product" widget on the window.
  • See next date: To see the date of your next grocery day, look for the "Next:" date shown below the product's quantity/frequency details.
  • Add to cart early: To add a product to cart before the next automatic add to cart date, click on the product image and then click the "Add to Cart" option in the product information window.
    • To add all of your products to cart at once, click on the "Add all to Cart" option near the top of the page.
  • Note: When slots become available for your selected grocery day, your Repeat Items are automatically added to your cart. This is the start of a cycle. Please note that any changes made to your Repeat Items preferences may not take effect until the next Repeat Items cycle if changes are made after the current cycle has already kicked off.

How to view Repeat Items in Cart

  • Go to the cart for an eligible Grocery brand. On this page, you will see the "Added via Repeat Items" badge next to any Repeat Items that were automatically added to your cart.
    • All Repeat Items in cart will also provide a link to the Repeat Items page, where you can easily manage your Repeat Items. See "How to manage Repeat Items" section above.
  • Like any other item in your cart, you can modify or delete the Repeat Items in your cart at any time before you checkout.
  • Like any other item in your cart, if a Repeat Item is out of stock, you can select an alternative item by clicking the "Replace item" option on Cart page.
