Send to Alexa from Kindle Scribe
Send handwritten notes, notebooks, and documents to Alexa.
- You need a Kindle Scribe or Kindle Scribe Colorsoft released in 2025 or later.
- If interacting with a compatible device such as Echo, it must be registered to the same account as the Kindle Scribe.
- You need to have access to Alexa+ either through Prime membership or Alexa+ subscription.
You can interact with your notebooks and documents sent from your Kindle Scribe to Alexa. When sent, they will be ready for you to access through Alexa.com, Alexa app, and compatible devices like Echo (Prime membership or Alexa+ subscription is required for use on these devices). Alexa can summarize, answer questions, and create calendar events, reminders, and tasks from the content turning ideas into actions.
How to send a file to Alexa from Kindle Scribe
- Open a notebook or document you want to send.
- Select the Share button on the top-right corner of your screen.
- Select Send to Alexa.
What file types are supported?
From Kindle Scribe, you can send PDF, Microsoft Word (doc, docx), and Notebooks. The maximum file size supported is 25MB.
How do I manage sent files?

Will my sent files automatically sync with Alexa as I update them on Kindle Scribe?
No, only the files you proactively share are sent to Alexa. You will need to reshare updated versions.
