Alexa+ can help you discover podcasts and make recommendations, all through natural conversations.
Note: Supported podcast features may vary depending on podcast provider. Amazon Music supports the podcast features listed on this page.
For examples of common playback commands, go to Play Podcasts with Alexa Using Your Voice.
You can speak to Alexa conversationally when you make a request, but here are some examples of things you can say:
Ask Alexa to play complex requests and more:
- "Play a podcast about [topic]."
- "Play a [genre] podcast."
- "Play [episode name] from [podcast name]."
Ask Alexa to recommend podcasts to listen to:
- "Recommend a [mood] podcast for me."
- For example, "Recommend an uplifting podcast."
- "Show me podcasts like [podcast name]."
- "Recommend a podcast for [activity]."
- For example, "Recommend a podcast for cleaning the house."
- "What's a podcast where they talk about [subject]?"
Ask Alexa to revisit and play podcasts you've listened to previously:
- "What podcast was I playing on Thursday?"
- "Resume what I was listening to at [time]."
- "What podcasts from [program name] did I play last week?"
Ask Alexa to navigate to a specific place in a podcast or episode:
- "Jump to the [subject] episode."
- "Jump to episode [number]."
- "Go to the last/latest episode."
