Fix Picture Issues on Fire TV Smart TV

To resolve picture issues such as lines on the screen or blurry images, try restarting your device.

1. Check that your Fire TV Smart TV software is up to date:
   1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV.
   2. Select My Fire TV or Device & Software.
   3. Select About.
   4. Select Check for System Update.
2. Try to restart your Fire TV Smart TV:
   1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV Smart TV.
   2. Select My Fire TV or Device & Software.
   3. Select Restart.
   Your Fire TV Smart TV turns off and then back on while restarting.
3. Change the picture modes or other picture settings on your Fire TV Smart TV:
   1. Press and hold the Home button or the Settings button on your Fire TV remote until the Quick Settings menu appears.
   2. Select Picture, then select Picture Mode.
   3. Try different picture modes like Vivid, Standard, Energy Saving, Sport, Game, Film Maker Mode, Movie Bright, and Movie Dark.
      Note:

      Picture mode options vary across Fire TV devices.

   4. Try different individual picture settings to check their effect on the image. Picture Reset always returns the settings to their starting point for that picture mode.
4. Try to reset your Fire TV Smart TV:
   1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV Smart TV.
   2. Select My Fire TV or Device & Software.
   3. Select Reset to Factory Defaults.
