Cast Apps to Fire TV

Use your mobile device to choose what you want to watch and then cast it to your Fire TV.

Note: You can cast compatible apps to Fire TV devices running FireOS 7 or higher. To check the latest software versions for Fire TV devices, visit Fire TV Device and Accessory Software Updates.

To cast supported apps to your Fire TV:

  1. Connect your Fire TV and your mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the app on your mobile device.
    Note: To cast Prime Video content, sign in to the mobile app with the Amazon account that you use for your Fire TV.
  3. Select the Cast icon in the mobile app.
  4. Select your Fire TV from the list of available devices.
You can use your mobile device or Fire TV remote to control playback.

To stop casting, select the Cast icon again and then choose the option to disconnect.
