Create a Temporary Password

Create a temporary password to sign-in to your device or app.

Note: Use a temporary password when your Amazon account has no password set, but the device or app requires sign-in requires a password to sign-in.

To create a temporary password:

  1. In your Amazon shopping app, go to Account Settings.
  2. Go to Login & Security.
  3. Scroll to Password and select Create. A temporary password appears on your screen.
  4. Copy the password and enter it in your device or app.
