Use Dual Audio on Your Fire TV Smart TV

Stream audio to paired hearing aids while others listen through the TV's built-in speakers.

The Dual Audio feature is available on:
  • Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series TVs
Important: Fire TV supports the Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA) protocol, which sends TV audio directly to your hearing aids. Make sure you have paired an ASHA-compatible hearing aid device to your Fire TV. Compatible hearing aids include Starkey hearing aids, Widex hearing aids, and Cochlear hearing devices. To activate Dual Audio once your hearing aids are paired to your Fire TV:
  1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV.
  2. Select Display & Audio.
  3. Select Audio Output.
  4. Select the TV Speaker and Hearing Aids option.
While in Dual Audio mode, you can adjust hearing aid volume through Quick Settings:
  1. Press and hold the Home button on your Fire TV to access Quick Settings.
  2. Select Hearing Aids.
  3. Select Media Volume and adjust the slider to your preferred audio settings.
Note: While in Dual Audio mode, hearing aid volume is controlled through Quick Settings. TV speaker volume is controlled by the Fire TV remote.
If you are experiencing audio delay while in Dual Audio mode:
  1. Press and hold the Home button on your Fire TV to access Quick Settings.
  2. Select Hearing Aids.
  3. Select Hearing Aid Delay Adjust to change audio delay settings.
