Reset Your Echo Time

If your Echo time is unresponsive, or you want to erase your settings, factory reset your device.

If your device is unresponsive, first restart your device. Unplug the power adapter from the device or the outlet and wait for 10 seconds. Plug it back in to restart it.

To reset your Echo Time:

1. Say, "Go to settings," or go to the device settings on your Echo Time:
   1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and select Settings .
2. Select Device Options.
3. Select Factory Reset.
   • To keep your Echo Time's smart home connections, select Reset, but Retain Smart Home Device Connections.
   • If there are no smart home connections, or to reset the device and erase all settings, select Reset to Factory Defaults.

When the reset finishes, the device screen shows the setup QR code. Scan it with your smart phone to start the guided device setup in the Alexa app.
