Alexa Home Theater Device Compatibility Guide

Check which Echo speakers and Fire TV devices are compatible to create the Alexa Home Cinema experience.

Note: The following Fire TV devices don't currently support Alexa Home Cinema:
  • Fire TV Stick 4K Select
  • Amazon Fire TV 2-Series
  • Fire TV 4-Series (2025 Release, newest model)
  • Fire TV Omni QLED Series (2025 Release, newest model)
  • Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series (2024 Release, newest model)

Use Alexa Home Theater to create a wireless home theater system by connecting Echo speakers to your Fire TV device. Set up your Alexa Home Theater through your Fire TV device.

Alexa Home Theater requires matching Echo speakers for compatibility. You must use identical models - for example, either all Echo Studios or all Echo (4th generation) speakers. Pairing mixed Echo speaker configurations is not supported.

Enhance your home theater system's bass by adding one Echo Sub to the configuration.

Note: The Echo Sub must be paired with matching Echo speakers and cannot be used alone.

Audio from Fire TV, HDMI-In, and TV Source

The following Fire TV and Echo device configurations support multi audio sources when the Fire TV device is connected via HDMI-ARC. You can play audio from sources such as other HDMI inputs, cable box, or gaming systems through your Alexa Home Cinema:
