WATCH FOR SMALL PARTS Your device, its accessories, and batteries may present a choking hazard to small children. Keep them out of reach of small children.
WARNING: Never place a television set in an unstable location. A television set may fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by taking simple precautions such as:
- Only using furniture that can safely support the television set.
- Routing cords and cables connected to the television so they cannot be tripped over, pulled, or grabbed.
- Not placing the television set on tall furniture (for example, cupboards or bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and television set to a suitable support.
- Not placing the television set on cloth or other materials that may be located between the television set and supporting furniture.
- Educating children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the television set or its controls. If you are keeping and relocating an existing television set, the same considerations as above should be applied.
-
Not placing items that might tempt children to climb, such as toys and remote controls, on top of the television set and supporting furniture.
Please refer to the information on the exterior back enclosure for electrical and safety information before installing or operating the device.
Television:
- Do not install this device in a confined or built-in space such as a book case or similar unit unless proper ventilation is provided. The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspaper, table-cloths, curtains, etc. Keep a minimum distance of 10 cm around all edges of the display for sufficient ventilation.
- To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this device to rain or moisture. The device should not be exposed to dripping or splashing and objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should not be placed on the device.

- Do not push objects of any kind into this unit through the cabinet slots as they could touch the current carrying parts or short-circuit parts, resulting in fire, electric shock, or damage to the unit.
- Do not touch the screen surface with fingers as this may scratch or mar the TV screen.
- Do not impact the TV screen with hard pressure as this may damage the TV screen severely.
- Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the device has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the device, the device has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

BATTERY SAFETY
This device contains alkaline batteries. The remote requires batteries for use. Only use new 1.5V alkaline or 1.2 NiMH rechargeable AAA-sized batteries. Never mix old and new batteries. Keep all of the batteries out of the reach of children. Do not open, disassemble, puncture, cut, bend, shred or heat the batteries and do not allow metal objects to touch the battery terminals on the remote as they can become hot and cause burns. Remove all batteries if they are worn out or before storing your remote for an extended period of time. Dispose of all batteries in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and do not dispose of batteries by throwing them into a fire. If any batteries begin to leak, take steps to prevent the fluid from coming into direct contact with skin or clothes as the fluid could be corrosive and may be toxic. Remove the batteries and clean the battery compartment in accordance with the battery manufacturer's recommendations.
The battery (battery or batteries or battery pack) should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
CAUTION: There is a danger of an explosion if you replace the batteries used in the remote with the wrong type of battery. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

Maintaining Your Fire TV 2 Series
Do not use your Fire TV 2 Series or accessories (collectively referred to as "device" or "devices") near sinks or other wet locations. Take care not to spill any food or liquid on your devices and do not put any object filled with a liquid, such as a vase, on or near your devices. If your Fire TV 2 Series does get wet, carefully unplug all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for the device to dry completely before plugging it in again. If your Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote does get wet, use rubber gloves to remove the batteries and wait for the remote to dry completely before re-inserting the batteries. Do not attempt to dry your devices with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or hair dryer. Do not drop, throw, disassemble, crush, bend, puncture, or paint your Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote.
Use Environment:
- Keep the set away from direct sunlight.
- Do not use the device in a location with heavy dust. Accumulated dust can cause an electric shock, an electric leakage, or a fire by causing the power cord to generate sparks and heat or by causing insulation to deteriorate.
- Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Do not use or install the device in a location where exposure to liquids or moisture may results, such as in a bathroom or near a kitchen sink or other sources of running water.
Cleaning:
- To clean the device, unplug the power cord and dust the device by wiping the screen and the cabinet with a soft, clean cloth or some special liquid cleaner.
- Do not apply excessive force to the screen when cleaning.
- Do not use water or other chemical cleaner to clean the screen as this may damage the surface of the TV screen.
- Do not spray water or any liquid directly onto the TV. Any liquid that goes into the TV may case a failure, fire, or electric shock.
Use of third-party accessories may impact your devices' performance. In limited circumstances, use of third-party accessories may void your devices' limited warranty. In addition, use of incompatible third-party accessories may lead to damage to device or the accessory. Read all safety instructions for any accessories before using with your Fire TV.
Other Safety Considerations
A small percentage of people may be susceptible to blackouts or seizures (even if they have never had one before) when exposed to flashing lights or light patterns, such as when watching video or playing games. If you have experienced seizures or blackouts or have a family history of such occurrences, you should consult a doctor before watching videos or playing games.
Engaging in repetitive motions such as pressing buttons or playing some games may cause you to experience occasional discomfort in your hands, arms, shoulders, neck, or other parts of your body.
Discontinue use of your device and consult a physician if you experience headaches, blackouts, seizures, convulsion, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, involuntary movement, disorientation, or other discomfort. To reduce risk of these symptoms, avoid prolonged use, watch your television from a far distance and in a well-lit room, and take frequent breaks.
If the adapter or cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately.
Your Fire TV may get hot during normal use. To reduce the effect of the warming, place your device on a heat resistant surface. If you find the device has become hot to the touch, unplug power and let it cool down for a few minutes before handling.
If this device is used to power other devices, those powered devices must be located near this device.
AVOID PROLONGED LISTENING AT HIGH VOLUME. Prolonged listening of the player at high volume can damage the ear of the user. To prevent possible hearing damage, users should not listen at high volume levels for long periods.

Using Fire TV 2-Series and Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote Around Other Electronic Devices
The Fire TV 2-Series and Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote generate, use and can radiate radio frequency (RF) energy and, if not used in accordance with their instructions, may cause interference to radio communications and electronic equipment. External RF signals may affect improperly installed or inadequately shielded electronic operating systems, entertainment systems and personal medical devices. While most modern electronic equipment is shielded from external RF signals, if in doubt, check with the manufacturer. For personal medical devices (such as pacemakers and hearing aids), consult with your doctor or the manufacturer to determine if they are adequately shielded from external RF signals.
