Set a Volume Limit on Your Kids' Echo Devices

Use Parent Dashboard to keep the volume down for devices in child mode.

The Parent Dashboard lets you manage the Amazon Kids content that kids engage with. It also lets you control the volume of the device they use to play that content.
  1. Sign in to the Parent Dashboard (https://parents.amazon.co.uk) using your Amazon login.
  2. Select Settings at the top of your child's profile.
  3. Under Your Child Echo Devices, select the device that you want to have a volume limit.
  4. Select the arrow at Set Max Volume, then use the slider to select the maximum volume level you want.
  5. Select another page or the back arrow to finish. The volume level that you selected automatically saves when you leave the Set Max Volume page.

A volume limit set on a device applies only with Amazon Kids turned on. It doesn't affect other devices, or any devices with Amazon Kids turned off.

Note: You can use the Parent Dashboard to set the volume limit on these supported devices:
  • Amazon Echo (3rd Gen or later)
  • Echo Dot (3rd Gen or later)
    • Note: Some versions of Echo Dot (3rd Gen) don’t support this feature.
  • Echo Show 5 (3rd Gen)
  • Echo Flex
  • Echo Pop
