Turn On Adjustable Playback Speed for Podcasts on Amazon Music

You can speed up or slow down playback of Podcasts based on your preferences. You can also speed up or slow down playback and narration of Audiobooks.

Change Podcast Playback Speed

Note: Adjustable playback speed isn't available in the Amazon Music web player.

  1. Open the Amazon Music app.
  2. Locate the podcast that you want to listen to and then choose a specific episode.
  3. To start playback, select the Play icon.
  4. Select the Playback Speed button (usually displayed as 1x) on the playback screen.
  5. Choose your preferred playback speed: 0.5x, 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x, or 3x.

The audio instantly changes to the selected speed.

Change Audiobook Playback Speed

  1. Open the Amazon Music app.
  2. Start playing an audiobook in the Amazon Music app.
  3. Select the Speed icon (1x) on the Now Playing screen.
  4. Choose your preferred speed option: 0.75x, 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x, or 3x.

The narration changes immediately to match your selected pace.
