Pair a Bluetooth Audio Device with Your Kindle E-Reader
Listen to VoiceView commands or an audiobook with a supported Bluetooth device.
Before getting started, make sure your Bluetooth device is turned on, within range of your Kindle, and in pairing mode.
- Open the Quick Actions or select the Menu icon on your Kindle device.
- Select All Settings or Settings, then Wi-Fi & Bluetooth or Wireless.
- Turn Bluetooth on.
- Select Bluetooth Devices to scan for the nearby Bluetooth devices.
- Select your Bluetooth device from the list.
- Click on Connect.
- If the Bluetooth device displays a PIN code, click on CONFIRM, then YES.
Use the Forget option on the Bluetooth device name that you want to remove from your Kindle Device's paired list.
Note: Only devices released during or after 2016 support Bluetooth connectivity. Pairing a Bluetooth phone, keyboard, or mouse isn’t supported at this time.
If you’re still unable to establish a connection:
- If there are other Bluetooth devices and accessories nearby, try turning them off temporarily.
- Confirm that the Bluetooth device is able to connect with other devices.
- Confirm that your device has the latest software version available.
- Try rebooting your Kindle and Bluetooth devices.
- Try factory resetting your Kindle and Bluetooth devices.
