Listen to VoiceView commands or an audiobook with a supported Bluetooth device.

Before getting started, make sure your Bluetooth device is turned on, within range of your Kindle, and in pairing mode.

To pair your bluettoth device, follow these steps:
  1. Open the Quick Actions or select the Menu icon on your Kindle device.
  2. Select All Settings or Settings, then Wi-Fi & Bluetooth or Wireless.
  3. Turn Bluetooth on.
  4. Select Bluetooth Devices to scan for the nearby Bluetooth devices.
  5. Select your Bluetooth device from the list.
  6. Click on Connect.
  7. If the Bluetooth device displays a PIN code, click on CONFIRM, then YES.

Use the Forget option on the Bluetooth device name that you want to remove from your Kindle Device's paired list.

Note: Only devices released during or after 2016 support Bluetooth connectivity. Pairing a Bluetooth phone, keyboard, or mouse isn’t supported at this time.

If you’re still unable to establish a connection:

  • If there are other Bluetooth devices and accessories nearby, try turning them off temporarily.
  • Confirm that the Bluetooth device is able to connect with other devices.
  • Confirm that your device has the latest software version available.
  • Try rebooting your Kindle and Bluetooth devices.
  • Try factory resetting your Kindle and Bluetooth devices.
