Super Resolution on Fire TV Cube (3rd Generation)

Super Resolution makes lower resolution (lower than 4K) videos sharper and clearer on 4K resolution or higher televisions.

Super Resolution on Fire TV Cube (3rd Generation) makes lower resolution videos look better on higher resolution televisions. Unlike traditional linear upscaling, Super Resolution enhances the details of the image to make it sharper. Super Resolution upscales all video content, such as streaming apps or video from devices connected to the HDMI-In port.

Note: If you're viewing 4K resolution (or higher) content there won't be a difference in quality.

Super Resolution is activated by default. To change your Super Resolution settings:

  1. Go to Settings .
  2. Choose Display & Audio.
  3. Select Display.
  4. Choose Super Resolution.
  5. Switch between ON and OFF.
