Power of Attorney (POA) Support
To protect customer data, we can only share account information or handle an account when the requester is the authorized person.
If you have access to the email address associated with the Amazon account, you can sign in to proceed with your request. If you don't have access to the account, verification is required to ensure that you are authorized to act on behalf of the account owner.
We will ask you to provide certain documentation:
- Official certified documentation showing that you are the authorized person to access the account;
- A valid photographic ID for the named authorized person listed on the letter of authorization such as a passport or driver’s license, and
- the email address associated with the Amazon account.
If you don't know the email address associated with the account, you can provide information to help us authenticate the correct account. This information could be, for example, a mobile number, unique charge ID, or order number from the account.
This documentation is required to ensure that:
- We act on the correct account only.
- We provide account information only to authorized persons with a legal entitlement to the information requested.
We assure you that the documents provided will be deleted after validation.
