Double Tap to Turn Pages or Advance Your Screen on Kindle E-Reader
Double tap your Kindle's sides or back to turn pages and scroll through Home and Library screens.
Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition and Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (12th Generation) - 2024 release allow you to turn pages with one hand, using accelerometer-based tap detection.
When this feature is on, tapping twice in quick succession anywhere on the side or back of the device, advances the page. In a book, this means turning the page forward. If you use the feature while on the Home screen and Library, double tapping moves you to the next section of your Home or Library.
To turn on the double tap feature:
- Go to All Settings.
- Select Device Options, then switch the toggle next to Double tap to on.
Note: Amazon has tested double tap with the official Amazon Kindle Colorsoft and Kindle Paperwhite cases but it may not work with all third-party cases.
