Troubleshoot Interference Issue on Alexa Tablet

Fix keyboard interference issues on Alexa Tablet.

The pogo pin connectors on your tablet are sensitive to liquid or external interference. An on-screen error message may appear, and your keyboard may be temporarily disconnected.

Note:
  • Do not try to connect any other product to your tablet pogo pin connectors.
  • Bringing any external magnets near the pogo pin connectors when the keyboard is not in use, may incorrectly trigger the "Check keyboard connection pins" message.
  • If the tablet is connected to a hub or a monitor through the USB-C port, it may block the keyboard connection. If this happens, disconnect the hub and then try attach the keyboard. After connecting keyboard, reconnect the hub or monitor.

If the keyboard doesn’t connect or has interference issues:

  1. You may notice an on-screen error message to check the keyboard connection pins while your keyboard is attached.
  2. If an external device or hub is connected to the USB-C port of the tablet, first disconnect the external device.
  3. After disconnecting the USB-C cable from the tablet:
    1. Make sure the pogo pin connectors on the tablet and keyboard are dry and clean. Gently wipe down the pogo pin connectors on the tablet and the keyboard.
    2. When reconnecting the keyboard, make sure the pogo pin connectors are properly aligned with the tablet.
  4. If the issue persists, allow the pogo pin connectors to dry completely (up to 24 hours) before reconnecting.
