How Amazon Music works

Amazon Music is an immersive audio entertainment service providing customers with access to over 100 million songs, a huge catalogue of podcasts and, for customers on certain Amazon Music Unlimited plans, access to one audiobook a month from an unparalleled offering of more than 800,000 audiobooks from Audible. Exactly what your listening experience sounds like depends on the plan you choose.

You can access the service in a web browser on your computer or laptop using the Amazon Music web player, or by installing the Amazon Music mobile app for iOS and Android.

Once you have installed the Amazon Music app, or navigated to the Amazon Music web player, sign in to your Amazon account in order to start using the service. When you open the app, you will land on the home page. From there you can explore recommended playlists, featured stations, new releases and more. You can use the search function (or the find tab in the mobile app) to look for specific music or podcasts. You can also browse music by genre, charts or mood, activity or browse podcasts by category. When you select a song to play, you will find playback controls allowing you to pause, play, skip back to the previous song or skip forward to the next song. By selecting the like or dislike buttons, you can tailor your personal recommendations. The lyrics button, once selected, displays synchronized lyrics on the playback screen.

You can find detailed information about how Amazon Music works and the terms applicable to your use of the service in our Terms of Use.
