Troubleshoot Send to Kindle Errors

To troubleshoot your Send to Kindle errors, find your error code in the list and then follow the steps provided.

E001	Unsupported File Format	Send to Kindle does not support this file format. Please find the supported file formats on the Learn About Sending Documents to Your Kindle Library page. If the file format is supported, please make sure that the document is not password protected or encrypted, and try sending it again.
E002	Invalid or Corrupted MOBI File	The MOBI file sent is either invalid or corrupted. Please ensure that the document is not password protected or encrypted, and try sending it again.
E003	Unsupported MS Word Format	Send to Kindle does not support some MS Word file formats. Please ensure the following and try sending the file again: The document was created using MS Word 97 or newer MS Word (.DOC) or MS Office Open XML (.DOCX) formats. The document is not password protected or encrypted. The document contains convertible content.
E004	Password Protected File	Sent to Kindle does not support password protected and other encrypted files. Please ensure that the document is not password protected or encrypted, and try sending it again.
E005	Corrupted PDF File	The PDF file is either encrypted or corrupted. Please make sure of the following and try sending the file again: The document is not password protected or encrypted. The document can be opened using PDF reader applications.
E006	Attachment Count Limit Exceeded	Too many files have been attached to the sent email. Please ensure that the email does not contain more than 25 documents (before compression if zipped), and try sending the email again or split them into different emails.
E007	Attachment Size Limit Exceeded	One or more files attached to the sent email exceeds the limit. Please ensure that each attachment does not exceed 50 MB in size (before compression if zipped), and try sending the email again or split them into different emails.
E008	Recipient Limit Exceeded	Too many recipients were added to the email. Please ensure that the email does not contain more than 15 recipients, and try sending the email again. As a reminder, you may only use Send to Kindle for your personal, non-commercial use. By using Send to Kindle, you agree to the Send to Kindle Terms of Use.
E009	No Attachment	The sent email does not included any attachment(s). Please attach the document(s) and try sending the email again.
E010	Email Throttle Warning	Too many emails are being sent from this email address. As a reminder, you may only use Send to Kindle for your personal, non-commercial use. By using Send to Kindle, you agree to the Send to Kindle Terms of Use.
E011	Email Throttle Final Warning	Too many emails are being sent from this email address, continuously. Kindle has initiated a review of your Send to Kindle usage. If you are found to be in violation of our Send to Kindle Terms of Use, your use of Send to Kindle will be suspended.
E012	Email Throttle Error	Too many emails were being sent from this email address, continuously. We have suspended your use of Send to Kindle for suspected violation of our Send to Kindle Terms of Use, including the restriction on using the Send to Kindle service for personal, non-commercial use only. While you are suspended, documents you try to send from this email address to Kindle will not be delivered. Your intended Kindle recipients will be notified to contact you for the unfulfilled documents.
E013	Incompatible Elements for Kindle Format Conversion	The document sent contains incompatible elements for Kindle format conversion. We delivered the document so that you can read it on Kindle, but in its current format it won't support the latest Kindle features for documents, including Kindle Scribe handwriting features. Please ensure the following to make the document compatible with Kindle format conversion, and try sending it again. Split large tables into several smaller tables, align the direction of text in the tables, and remove drop-caps in the tables. Remove multi-media content such as audio, video, and SVG images. E014	Unapproved Sender Email Address	Someone tried to send document(s) to your Kindle. Since the sender is not in your Kindle approved e-mail list, the document(s) sent to you them will not be delivered to your Kindle. To approve the sender's e-mail address: Visit Manage Your Content and Devices page. Sign in to your Amazon account. Go to Personal Document Settings under Manage Your Content and Devices. Go to Approved Personal Document Email List and select Add a new approved email address. Enter the email address to approve and select Add Address. Then, instruct the sender to resend the document(s). Important: Remember to only add email addresses as approved contacts if they belong to sources you trust. Please note that you will receive this notification only once. In the future, only documents sent from approved email addresses will be delivered to you.
E999	Send to Kindle Internal Error	The document(s) could not be delivered due to an internal error. Please try sending your document(s) again in some time.
	Service Under Maintenance	The Send to Kindle service is currently under maintenance. Please try sending your document(s) again in some time.
