Previous Software Updates for Kindle E-Reader
Haven't used or updated your Kindle device for a while? Depending on your device and current software update version, you may have to install a previous software update before installing the latest version.
To determine which Kindle e-reader you're using visit: Identify Your Kindle E-Reader.
Important: If you copy multiple software update files to your device at the same time, the software update will not be successful. Fully install one file, and then download and install the next file, as appropriate.
Previous software versions for Kindle (4th and 5th Generation)
