Share Your Amazon Prime Benefits

Prime members can share Prime benefits and digital content with one other adult and up to four children in their household via Amazon Family.

Amazon Family is replacing the Prime Invitee Program

Prime benefit sharing through the Prime Invitee program will end on 30 June 2025. Prime invitees will lose access to the shared Prime delivery benefit, but can use Amazon Family instead.

Through Amazon Family, Prime members can share these benefits with one other adult in their household and up to four profiles for children:

  • Fast and free delivery on Prime eligible items
  • Access to exclusive Prime events and deals
  • Prime Video (with ads)
  • Prime Reading
  • Access to third-party benefits (for example, Deliveroo)
  • Digital content such as audio books, eBooks, games, and more.

What this means for you:

  • If you shared Prime benefits with others through the Prime Invitee program: You can now share certain Prime benefits through Amazon Family. Your Amazon Family can include an account for one other adult in your household and up to four child profiles. Additional adult members will need their own Prime Membership.
  • If you're a Prime Invitee: You can either ask the Prime member in your household to add you to their Amazon Family, or sign up for your own Prime Membership.

Sharing Prime benefits

To share your select Amazon Prime benefits:

  1. Visit Your Amazon Prime Membership.
  2. Locate the Share your Prime Benefits section.
  3. Select Manage Your Amazon Family.
    • To create an Amazon Family with another adult, select Add Adult. You can either send an email invitation or sign up together to verify your accounts. You and your invitee must agree to share payment methods in order to share Prime benefits. As a security measure, we'll notify you if your invitee moves your credit or debit card to their wallet.
    • To create an Amazon Family with a child, select Add Child.

To share benefits, you and your invitee must live together at the same primary residential address. This is the address you consider to be your home and where you spend the majority of your time.

When you create your Amazon Family, you'll be prompted to review your content sharing settings through Family Library. If you don't wish to share any content, uncheck all of the boxes next to the content types. You can always go back and choose to share content later.

You can stop sharing benefits with your Amazon Family member at any time. To do this:

Amazon Family members can leave and re-join your Amazon Family anytime, but they must wait 12 months before joining a different Amazon Family.
