Create a Repair Label
If your item is eligible for Amazon Certified Repair, you can create a label in Your Orders to send it free of charge to a third-party repair service partner.
To create a repair request:
- Go to Your Orders.
- Locate the item and select Return items.
- Select Defective/Does not work properly in the Why are you returning this item? drop down menu. If a repair is possible, we will offer it here.
- Describe the problem in detail.
The repairer will be able to diagnose and fix the problem faster if you provide as much detail as possible.
- Select Continue.
- Review the shipping method for your item and select the address that will be used for home repair or to which the item will be sent after repair. If the item is eligible for onsite repair, we'll provide you with a link to the repair service website where you can send the request. For in-home repairs, the repair service will contact you within 5 business days after your request.
Prepare the item:
- Remove any passwords or security features.
- Back up any data you want to keep. Deletion of data may be needed to repair your device.
- Include any accessories that came with your item to help diagnose the problem.
- Remove your personal accessories, in some cases the item will not be returned to you (e.g. replacement, refund).
- Pack the parcel as securely as possible.
Only by following these steps the service partner can take the necessary actions to repair the item.
To speed up the process, Amazon sends your contact details and a copy of the invoice to the service partner. The payment details are not specified. This data is only used to process the repair.
By submitting your item for repair, you consent to us and the repairer using your contact details for the repair.
