Delete Photos and Videos Using the Android App

If you have unwanted photos or videos, delete them using the Android app.

  1. Open the Amazon Photos app.
  2. Press and hold on a photo or video until a check mark appears.
  3. If you want to pick more photos or videos, select each additional one. De-select a checked item by tapping it again.
  4. Select the Trash icon at the bottom of your screen.
  5. Deleted items from Amazon Photos app are also added to your Trash folder on the Amazon Photos website.

Items in the Trash folder are permanently deleted after 90 days. To restore or permanently delete items from the Deleted folder, go to your Trash folder in the Amazon Photos app:

1. Select the Abum view.

2. Select the Trash Can icon.

3. Select the picture you wish to restore or delete.

4. Select Restore or Delete.

Permanently deleted photos cannot be restored from the Trash folder.

Note: The hidden photos folder has moved from the Settings tab to the Album view.

To access hidden photos:

1. Choose the Albums view in the filters.

2. Select Hidden Photos.
