Connect a Live TV Source to Your Fire TV Smart TV

To watch live TV content, connect a supported live TV source to your TV and scan for channels.

Support for live TV sources (such as digital antenna, cable, or satellite receivers) varies by device. To check which live TV sources your Fire TV Smart TV supports, go to Settings.

  1. Connect a supported live TV source (like antenna) to the cable input of your TV with a coaxial cable.
  2. Scan for channels:
    1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV Smart TV.
    2. Select Live TV .
    3. Select Channel Scan.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

To browse what's currently airing, go to the On Now row on your home screen or use the Channel Guide button on your remote. You can also use the Live tab on your home screen.

Note: The channel guide is subject to availability and may not be accessible in all countries.
