Fit Echo Buds (2021 release, 2nd gen) to Your Ear

Use the correctly sized ear and wing tips to improve comfort and audio quality.

Tip: To find the best fit, test different ear tip sizes and choose the one that is both comfortable and provides a snug fit. Your Echo Buds (2021 release, 2nd gen) come with four ear tip sizes. You may need a different ear tip size for each ear. Use the Amazon smile logo to orient the ear bud. Turn the ear bud so the smile logo is right-side up. Then place the ear bud in your ear and rotate slightly to get a secure fit.

To test your ear tip fit:

  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. On the home screen, locate the Echo Buds card.
  3. Tap the settings icon on the card.
  4. Select Ear Tip Fit Test.

When exercising, try the wing tip for a secure fit.

Note: The wing tips may provide a more secure fit for some. To find the best fit, try your Echo Buds with and without the wing tips. To use the wing tips: place the left wing tip, marked with an L, around the left ear bud, also marked with an L. Don’t cover the IR sensor on the ear bud. Remove the ear tip from the ear bud before attaching or detaching the wing tips. To avoid tearing the wing tip, hold it by the wing and pull gently when you attach or detach it.
