Use Drop In with the Alexa App

Use the Alexa app to connect with your Alexa contacts and Echo devices in your home.

  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. Select More .
  3. Open Communicate .
  4. Select the Drop In icon.
  5. Select the name of the device that you want to drop in on.

To end the Drop In, touch the screen and select Hang Up.

Note: You can use the Alexa app to drop in on other devices, but other devices can't drop in on the Alexa app. To drop in on a contact with a different Amazon account, your contact must grant you drop in permissions.
