Add an Alexa Emergency Contact
Use the Alexa app to add your Alexa Emergency Contact.
Note: If the information for your emergency contact changes in your phone, it won't update with Alexa until you open the Alexa app.
- Open the Alexa app
. - Select More
. - Select Communicate
. - Select the Contacts
. - Select Menu
, then select Emergency Contact. - Follow the on-screen instructions.
Your emergency contact receives a text message notifying them that they are added as your emergency contact.
Tip: In your address book, make sure that you don’t have a contact with "help" or "emergency" in the name. Alexa may call that contact when you say "Call for help."
If the Emergency Contact option is missing, try registering your mobile number in the Alexa app:
- Open the Alexa app
. - Select More
. - Select Settings
. - Select Your Profile.
- Select Mobile Number and follow the instructions.
Once set up, continue with adding your Emergency Contact.
