Set Up Your Fire TV Blaster
Use the Fire TV Recast & Blaster app to set up your device and connect to Wi-Fi. Then, go to your Fire TV Settings to complete setup.
- Prepare for setup.
- Download the latest version of the Fire TV Recast & Blaster app and the Alexa app from your mobile device's app store.
- Check that your Fire TV and Echo device are on the latest software version.
- Register yourFire TV Recast & Blaster app, Alexa app, Fire TV device, and Echo device to the same Amazon account.
- Connect your Fire TV device, Echo device, and Alexa app to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Start setup on the Fire TV Fire TV Recast & Blaster app.
- Open the Fire TV Recast & Blaster app on your mobile device.
- Select + Set Up New Devices.
- Select Fire TV Blaster.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to link your Fire TV and Echo device. You must link your Fire TV and Echo device for Fire TV Blaster to work.
- Connect your Fire TV Blaster to Wi-Fi.
- Continue setup on your TV.
- Turn on your TV and go to the Fire TV Home screen.
- Go to Settings
on your Fire TV.
- Select Equipment Control.
- Select Manage Equipment.
- If your Alexa Voice Remote has a volume button: Select Fire TV Blaster, and then Enable Blaster.
- If your Alexa Voice Remote doesn't have a volume button: Select Add Equipment, and then TV.
- If you have multiple TVs on your Amazon account, use the Alexa app to give each TV a unique name.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.
You can still use your Fire TV remote after activating Fire TV Blaster.
