Turn On Captioning on Your Echo Devices with a Screen
You can use Closed Captioning or Alexa Captioning on your Echo Device with a Screen when available. Just say, "Turn on all captions."
 
    Note: Settings menu items for 
    the Echo Hub and Echo Show 5 (all generations) may vary, and those devices will receive a software update soon. 
   
 
   To turn on captions on your Alexa App or Echo devices with a screen:
- Say, "Go to settings," or swipe down from the top of the screen and select Settings.
 - Select Accessibility.
 - Select Captioning.
 - Check the boxes for the captioning settings you want to turn on: 
     
- All Captioning: Turns on all captioning options
 - Alexa Captioning: Turns on captioning for Alexa's responses
 - Closed Captioning: Tuns on captioning for video playback
 - Alexa Captioning: Turns on captioning for Alexa's responses
 
 
To manage your Captioning preferences including font style and size:
- Say, "Go to settings," or swipe down from the top of the screen and select Settings.
 - Select Accessibility.
 - Select Captioning.
 - Select Captioning Preferences.
 - Manage your preferences.
 
 
    Note: 
    
 
   - Not all of Alexa's responses support Alexa Captioning.
 - If you turn on both Alexa Captioning and Closed Captioning, only Closed Captioning appears when watching videos.
