You can link your account with a supported music streaming provider to Alexa by using your Amazon Account or Alexa Profile.

Note: Use of music services may be subject to additional terms applicable to the respective service. To link your Apple Music subscription to Alexa, you must use Apple's two-factor authentication process.

To link your music service:

  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. Select More , then select Settings.
  3. Select Preferences.
  4. Select Music & Podcasts.
  5. Select Link New Service.
  6. Select your preferred music service provider and follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: To link a music service to your Alexa Profile, you will need to set up an Alexa Voice Profile (Voice ID). If you don't have an Alexa Profile yet, the Amazon Account holder can create one for you in the Alexa app. When Alexa recognizes your voice, it automatically plays music from your Alexa Profile-linked music service account.

You can also link a music service by voice. Say, "Link my [ music service name]."

Note: If you haven't linked your own music service account, Alexa uses the family's default music service instead.

Child Profiles:

Alexa isn't capable of linking Alexa child profiles to the child profiles for the music streaming service. The Alexa child profile uses the main account holder's account/profile with the third party steaming service.

Note: Parents can manage linked accounts from the Parental Dashboard. They can turn on/off the Explicit Language Filter for the Kids Profile.

Note: For setup instructions, go to Link Music Streaming Services to Your Child's Profile.

Multiple Users:

  • Each user needs their own Amazon account or Amazon Profile.
  • Users must link their individual accounts to their Amazon account or Amazon Profile via the Alexa app.
  • Add users to Amazon Family.
  • Set your preferred music services as the default player.
