Link Music Streaming Services to Alexa

You can link your account with a supported music streaming provider in the Alexa app.

Use of music services may be subject to additional terms applicable to the respective service. To link your Apple Music subscription to Alexa, you must use Apple's two-factor authentication process.

  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. Select More , then select Settings.
  3. Under Alexa Preferences, select Music & Podcasts.
  4. Select Link New Service.
  5. Select your preferred music service provider and follow the on-screen instructions.

Linked music services are listed under Manage Services.

Family Plans & Multiple Users:

  • Each user needs their own Amazon account.
  • Users must link their individual accounts to their Amazon account via the Alexa app.
  • Add users to Amazon Family.
  • Set your preferred music services as the default player.

To change profiles when you're listening to music later, you can say, "Switch profiles," or, "Switch to [profile name]."

Child Profiles:

Note: Alexa isn't capable of linking Alexa child profiles to the child profiles for the music streaming service. The Alexa child profile uses the main account holder's account/profile with the third party steaming service.
