Clear Cache in the Amazon Music App

Resolve intermittent app performance issues.

To clear the cache for Android and Fire tablets:

  1. Open the Amazon Music app.
  2. Select the Settings icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Choose Settings from the list that appears.
  4. Scroll down to the Storage section.
  5. Select Clear Cache.

To clear the cache for Amazon Music for PC and Mac, there are multiple ways to refresh data.

  • Select Sign Out and then Sign In to the Amazon Music app to enable a library resync and refresh data.
  • Remove the Data folder that is in the following locations:
    1. Windows: Click the start menu and in the search box type: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Amazon Music\Data and hit enter.
    2. Mac: In Finder, type shift-command-g to open "go to folder" window and type: ~/Library/Application Support/Amazon Music/Data
  • Reload your music:
    1. Select Profile, and then Preferences.
    2. Select Reload My Music?, and then choose Start Reload.

For iOS devices, there is no option to clear all caches. Try refreshing music instead:

  1. Select the Gear Icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Select Settings, and then Refresh My Music at the bottom of the page.
