Turn Off the Internet on Your Kindle E-Reader

Conserve your battery with airplane mode on Kindle (6th Generation and newer) when your device doesn't need an internet connection.

1. From the home screen, swipe down to open the Quick Actions menu or select the Settings icon.
2. Select the Airplane Mode icon or option.

When your Kindle is in Airplane Mode, you can't buy, sync, or download Kindle content on your device.
