Turn Brief Mode On or Off for Your Echo Device

Use the Alexa app to turn Brief Mode on or off and adjust the length of Alexa responses.

1. Open the Alexa app .
2. Open More and select Settings.
3. Select Voice Responses.
4. Turn Brief Mode on or off.

With Brief Mode, Alexa speaks less and may play a short sound instead of giving a voice response.
