Turn Amazon Kids on Alexa On or Off Using Your Echo Device with a Screen

Go to settings on your device to set up and manage Amazon Kids on compatible Echo devices.

Note: Settings menu items for the Echo Hub and Echo Show 5 (all generations) may vary, and those devices will receive a software update soon.
  1. Say, "Go to Settings," or go to the device settings on your Echo Show:
    • If you're using Alexa+, select the Menu icon on your screen, and then select Settings.
    • If you're using the original Alexa, swipe down from the top of the screen and select Settings.
  2. Select Privacy & Permissions.
  3. Select Amazon Kids, and toggle on or off.
  4. After turning on Amazon Kids, follow the on-screen prompts to create a profile or select an existing profile. You will be asked to provide parental consent.
