What Happens When I Share A Routine?

When a routine is shared, a copy of the routine is populated in your Alexa app and can be customized.

Some information relating to your routine will be shared with the recipient, including:

Your routine name.
Configuration details such as the event that triggers the routine, for example, dismissing an alarm.
Actions such as changing the color of the lights, playing a specific song, or having Alexa say a custom phrase.
Phrase used to start the routine.

Note: After sharing a routine, removing the shared link doesn't affect any copies of the routine previously enabled, or prevent it from being shared by others.

Changes made to the shared routine by recipients will have no impact on your original routine.
