Battery Safety
This product contains alkaline batteries. The remote requires batteries for use. Only use new 1.5 V alkaline or 1.2 NiMH rechargeable AAA-sized batteries. Never mix old and new batteries. Keep all of the batteries out of the reach of children. Do not open, disassemble, puncture, cut, bend, shred or heat the batteries and do not allow metal objects to touch the battery terminals on the remote as they can become hot and cause burns. Remove all batteries if they are worn out or before storing your remote for an extended period of time. Dispose of all batteries in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and do not dispose of batteries by throwing them into a fire. If any batteries begin to leak, take steps to prevent the fluid from coming into direct contact with skin or clothes as the fluid could be corrosive and may be toxic. Remove the batteries and clean the battery compartment in accordance with the battery manufacturer's recommendations.
Maintaining Your Fire TV Cube
Do not use your Fire TV Cube or accessories (collectively referred to as "the device" or "devices") near sinks or other wet locations. Take care not to spill any food or liquid on your devices and do not put any object filled with a liquid, such as a vase, on or near your devices. If your Fire TV Cube does get wet, carefully unplug all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for the device to dry completely before plugging it in again. If your Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote does get wet, use rubber gloves to remove the batteries and wait for the remote to dry completely before re-inserting the batteries. Do not attempt to dry your devices with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or hair dryer. Do not drop, throw, disassemble, crush, bend, puncture, or paint your Amazon Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote.
Only handle your devices with clean hands. Clean your devices only with a soft cloth that is slightly damp with water and a touch of rubbing alcohol; be careful not to wipe it with anything abrasive or to use any harsh chemicals. Don't expose your devices to steam or extreme heat or cold. For example, do not install your device near any heat sources such as space heaters, heater vents, radiators, stoves, or other things that produce heat. Store your Alexa Voice Remote and Fire TV Cube in cool, dust-free areas out of direct sunlight.
Use of third-party accessories may impact your devices' performance. In limited circumstances, use of third party accessories may void your devices' limited warranty. In addition, use of incompatible third-party accessories may lead to damage to device or the accessory. Read all safety instructions for any accessories before using with your Fire TV Cube.
Do not expose your device or adaptor to liquids. If your device or adaptor gets wet, carefully unplug all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for the device and adaptor to dry completely before plugging them in again. Do not attempt to dry your Device or adaptor with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or a hair dryer. If the Device or adaptor appear damaged, discontinue use immediately. Use only accessories supplied with the device to power your device. To avoid risk of electric shock, do not touch your device or any wires connected to your device during a lightning storm. Do not force the power adaptor into a power outlet. If the power adaptor or cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately. Do not plug multiple electric devices into the same wall socket. Overloading a socket can cause it to overheat and may result in a fire.
If you wish to turn off your Fire TV Cube, press and hold the "action" button for at least 10 seconds. To turn your Fire TV Cube back on, press the "action" button. If you wish to stop power from flowing into your device, unplug the power adaptor.
Other Safety Considerations
- A small percentage of people may be susceptible to blackouts or seizures (even if they have never had one before) when exposed to flashing lights or light patterns, such as when watching video or playing games. If you have experienced seizures or blackouts or have a family history of such occurrences, you should consult a doctor before watching videos or playing games.
- Engaging in repetitive motions such as pressing buttons or playing some games may cause you to experience occasional discomfort in your hands, arms, shoulders, neck, or other parts of your body.
- Discontinue use of your device and consult a doctor if you experience headaches, blackouts, seizures, convulsion, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, involuntary movement, disorientation or other discomfort. To reduce risk of these symptoms avoid prolonged use, watch your television from afar and in a well-lit room and take frequent breaks.

- Your Fire TV Cube may get hot during normal use. To reduce the effect of the warming, place your Fire TV Cube on a heat resistant surface. If you find the device has become hot to the touch, unplug power and let it cool down for a few minutes before handling.
- Install your power adaptor into an easily accessible socket-outlet located near the equipment that will be plugged into, or powered by, the adaptor.
- When this device is plugged into an electrical socket outlet, unplugging this device will disconnect it from the AC mains supply. Only plug this device into an easily accessible socket outlet. Devices with a power cord must be located near the socket-outlet.
Using Fire TV Cube and Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote Around Other Electronic Devices
The Fire TV Cube and Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote generate, use, and can radiate radio frequency (RF) energy and, if not used in accordance with their instructions, may cause interference to radio communications and electronic equipment. External RF signals may affect improperly installed or inadequately shielded electronic operating systems, entertainment systems and personal medical devices. While most modern electronic equipment is shielded from external RF signals, if in doubt, check with the manufacturer. For personal medical devices (such as pacemakers and hearing aids), consult with your doctor or the manufacturer to determine if they are adequately shielded from external RF signals.
