Personalize skills is a setting in the Alexa app that allows some third-party skills to recognize individual customers in your household by their Alexa voice ID.

To distinguish you from other individuals in your household, Alexa assigns your Alexa voice ID a numeric identifier in the skill. The skill then knows who is talking and provides a personalized experience based on past skill interactions. For example, a third-party trivia skill you use might recognize your voice, and only ask questions you haven't yet answered correctly.
