Control your Fire TV devices with Alexa Routines
Use Alexa Routines to control functions on your Fire TV devices, such as powering your TV on/off.
Review requirements for controlling your Fire TV devices using Alexa Routines:
- Powering on and off: Using Alexa Routines to switch TV power on and off works best on TVs that support HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronics Control). Check your TV's user manual to see if your TV supports HDMI-CEC.
- Linking your device: Your Fire TV devices can be used in a routine when linked to Alexa in the Alexa app. Open More and select Settings > TV & Video > Fire TV.
- Other actions: On the Routine setup page in the Alexa app, you can see which Fire TV device control actions are available for Alexa Routines.
