Pause Your Amazon Prime Membership
You can pause your billing and services for eligible Prime memberships.
If you won't be using your Prime benefits for a while, you can pause your membership. When you pause your membership, we won't bill you at the end of your current billing cycle. You won't have access to your Amazon Prime benefits while your membership is paused, but you can resume your Prime membership at any time at the then current rate for your selected Prime membership plan.
When your membership resumes, your photos will be where you left them.
From the Membership Management section on Prime Central, you can:
- Pause a monthly paid Prime membership and it will automatically resume after one month.
- Pause an annual paid Prime membership for up to one year, after which the Prime membership will automatically cancel unless resumed earlier manually.
- Cancel an upcoming pause: If your membership is in a "pending pause" state, you can cancel the scheduled pause before it takes effect.
- Resume early from a paused state: If your membership is already paused, you can manually resume it at any time instead of waiting for the automatic resume date.
Your pause will be effective only after the current billing cycle.
Subscriptions tied to your Amazon Prime membership end when your membership billing is paused.
You can't pause Prime if you:
- Joined through a third party.
- Have a Prime Video only subscription.
- Are on a free trial plan, or discounted offer.
- Have a Prime Business subscription.
- Have a Prime Students and 18-22 year olds membership.
- Are a member of the Prime Shipping-only plan.
