IMPORTANT PRODUCT INFORMATION
Use Responsibly. Read all instructions and safety information before use. Parents: Before allowing a child to use a Kids Edition or Kids Pro device, read and explain all instructions and safety information to your child.

SAFETY INFORMATION
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR OTHER INJURY OR DAMAGE.

AVOID PROLONGED LISTENING AT HIGH VOLUME. Prolonged listening of the player at high volume can damage the ear of the user. To prevent possible hearing damage, users should not listen at high volume levels for long periods.
The Kids Edition and Kids Pro (both referred to in this paragraph as “Device”) and its included accessories are not toys. The Device is designed for children, who should be supervised to ensure proper use. Parents should also routinely check to confirm that the Device shows no signs of damage or breakage and is in safe condition for use by children. The Kids Edition is not suitable for children under age 3. The Kids Pro is not suitable for children under age 6.
CHOKING HAZARD. Small parts contained in or included with the Device, such as the door to the SD card slot, could break off and present a choking hazard to small children.
Parents should monitor duration of use and volume levels to ensure appropriate use by children.
Glass Parts
ALWAYS INSPECT FOR BREAKAGE AND USE WITH THE KID-PROOF CASE. The outside cover of the Device’s screen is made of glass. This glass could break if the device is dropped or receives a substantial impact. If the glass breaks, chips, or cracks, stop all use of your Device and do not permit anyone to touch or attempt to remove the damaged glass. To protect against damage, children should always use the Device with its Kid-Proof Case. If the device is dropped or impacted, parents should carefully remove the Kid-Proof Case and inspect for damage before putting it back in the Kid-Proof Case and permitting a child to resume use.
Maintaining Your Device
DO NOT GET WET. Do not use or permit anyone to use your device or its accessories in rain, or near sinks or other wet or highly humid locations. Take care to ensure that no food or liquid is spilled on the Device or its accessories. Do not expose your Device or adapter to liquids. If your Device or adapter gets wet, carefully unplug all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for the Device and adapter to dry completely before plugging them in again. Do not turn on your Device if it is wet. If it was already wet when on, immediately turn off your Device and wait for it to dry before turning it back on. If your charging port (USB-C port) gets wet, a pop-up notification will display on screen. Follow the instructions to remove the charging cable and also gently shake out the liquid in the charging port. When the charging port gets wet, it can take up to 48 hours for the Device port to dry. Do not attempt to dry your Device or its accessories with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or hair dryer. If the Device or adapter appear damaged, discontinue use immediately. Use only accessories supplied with the Device to power your Device. To avoid risk of electric shock, do not touch your Device or any wires connected to your Device during a lighting storm.
Only handle your Device with clean hands. Clean the screen with a soft cloth; be careful not to wipe it with anything abrasive. When carrying your Device in a bag or briefcase, keep a cover on to avoid scratches.
Do not leave your Device near any heat sources such as space heaters, heater vents, radiators, stoves, or other things that produce heat. Your Device may get warm during normal use. To reduce the effect of the warming, place your Device on a heat resistant surface.
Don't expose your Device or its accessories to steam or extreme heat or cold. For example, don't leave it in your car in sub-zero or high-heat conditions.
Use of third party accessories may impact your Device’s performance. In limited circumstances, use of third party accessories may void your Device’s limited warranty. Read all safety instructions for any accessories before using with your Device.

Battery Safety
HANDLE WITH CARE. Your Device contains a rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery and should only be replaced by a qualified service provider. Do not disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred or attempt to access the battery in your Device. Do not modify or re-manufacture the battery, attempt to insert foreign objects into the battery, or immerse or expose it to water or other liquids, expose to fire, explosion, or other hazards. Only use the battery for the system for which it is specified. Use of an unqualified battery or charger may present a risk of fire, explosion, leakage, or other hazard. Do not short-circuit a battery or allow metal conductive objects to come in contact with battery terminals. Avoid dropping the Device or battery. If the Device or battery is dropped, especially on a hard surface, and the user suspects damage, do not attempt repair. Contact Amazon Customer Service for assistance.
Keep the Device and its power adapter in a well-ventilated area and away from heat sources, especially when in use or charging. For more information about batteries, go to http://www.amazon.com/devicesupport. Your Device uses the USB cable provided and a USB charger or USB port that is compliant with safety standards, such as IEC 60950 and IEC62368. Do not charge your Device near water or in extremely humid conditions.
For models that support use of a wireless charger, ensure there are no metallic or magnetic foreign objects on the charger (such as coins, jewelry, metallic cases, keys, bank cards or other items) when charging. In limited circumstances, use of third party accessories may void your Device’s limited warranty. Read all safety instructions for any accessories before using with your Device.
Power Adapter Safety
Install your power adapter into an easily accessible socket-outlet located near the equipment that will be plugged into, or powered by, the adapter.

Power adapter designed only for use with the Device. An AC adapter with the included cable could present a strangulation hazard. Keep out of reach of young children.
Other Safety Considerations
WATCH FOR HEALTH RISKS FROM FLASHING LIGHTS OR LIGHT PATTERNS. A small percentage of people may be susceptible to blackouts or seizures (even if they have never had one before) when exposed to flashing lights or light patterns such as when playing games or watching video. If you have experienced seizures or blackouts or have a family history of such occurrences, you should consult a physician before playing games or watching videos. If you experience headaches, blackouts, seizures, convulsions, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, involuntary movement, disorientation, or other discomfort discontinue use of the Device and consult a physician. To reduce the risk of these symptoms, ensure that you avoid prolonged use, hold the Device some distance from the eyes, and take frequent breaks.
AVOID REPETITIVE USE. Engaging in repetitive motions such as pressing keys or playing some games may cause you to experience occasional discomfort in your hands, arms, shoulders, neck, or other parts of your body.
USE CAUTION WHEN OPERATING VEHICLES. Using your Device while operating a vehicle is not recommended and may be prohibited or restricted in some areas. If you are in an area where using your Device while operating a vehicle is allowed, always give full attention to the operation of the vehicle and stop using your Device if it becomes a distraction. If you enable location services, your Device will transmit location information to applications that request such information, and those applications may share such information with third parties. The location data, which will be used to provide features such as navigation in maps, may be unavailable, inaccurate or incomplete. When using applications with location services, be sure to visually confirm that any instructions are consistent with what you see before following them. Pay attention to road conditions, closures, traffic, and all other factors that may impact your safety.
USE CAUTION AROUND PACEMAKERS AND SIMILAR MEDICAL DEVICES. Personal medical Devices, such as pacemakers, may be sensitive to magnetic and electromagnetic fields. Since the Device and certain accessories contain magnets and emit electromagnetic fields, they should be kept at least 6 inches (approximately 15 cm) from any personal medical Device.
If any interference is observed, consult with a physician before resuming use. Items with magnetically-stored data, such as credit cards and hard drives, may also be sensitive to magnetic or electromagnetic fields, and should not be placed near these products.

Wireless Safety and Compliance
Turn your wireless connection off in areas where wireless use is forbidden or when it may cause interference or danger. Some specific situations are described below. In general, you should not use your Device with your wireless connection turned on any place you are not allowed to use a cellular Device.
Turn Off Wireless When Flying
To prevent possible interference with aircraft systems, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration regulations and many other aviation agencies require you to have permission from a crewmember to use your Device's wireless service.
Using Your Device Around Other Electronic Devices
Your Device generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency (RF) energy and, if not used in accordance with its instructions, may cause interference to radio communications and electronic equipment. External RF signals may affect improperly installed or inadequately shielded electronic operating systems, entertainment systems, and personal medical Devices. While most modern electronic equipment is shielded from external RF signals, if in doubt, check with the manufacturer. For personal medical Devices (such as pacemakers and hearing aids), consult with your physician or the manufacturer to determine if they are adequately shielded from external RF signals.
Steps to Minimize Interference
If your Device causes interference to radio or television reception (which you can determine by powering your Device on and off), you can try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: reorient or relocate the receiving antenna for the radio or television; increase the separation between the radio or television and your Device; connect equipment and receivers to different outlets; or consult the radio or television manufacturer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Watch for Signs
There are some places where RF signals could constitute a hazard, such as health care facilities, and construction sites. If you are not sure, look around for signs indicating that two-way radios or cell phones should be turned off.
In addition, turn off and do not charge your Device if you are in any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere, as sparks in such areas could cause an explosion or fire. Such areas are usually, but not always, clearly identified, and include areas where you would normally be advised to turn off your vehicle engine.
