Adjust Screen Brightness, Manually or Automatically
Adjust your Echo Show or Echo Hub screen brightness manually, or set the device to do it automatically.
Note: Settings menu items for
the Echo Hub and Echo Show 5 (all generations) may vary, and those devices will receive a software update soon.
- Say, "Go to Settings," or go to the device settings on your Echo Show:
- If you're using Alexa+, select the Menu
icon on your screen, and then select Settings
. - If you're using the original Alexa, swipe down from the top of the screen and select Settings
.
- If you're using Alexa+, select the Menu
- Select Display & Appearance.
- Select Display.
- Use the Brightness slider to manually adjust screen brightness.
Tip: With Alexa+, you can adjust the brightness on your Echo devices with a screen by selecting Menu
and then use the brightness slider.
- Turn on Adaptive Brightness to make screen brightness automatically adjust according to light levels in the room.
- Turn on Sunrise Effect to gradually increase screen brightness before alarms.
- Turn on Auto-Dim to have the screen automatically dim after 10 minutes of inactivity.
