Adjust Screen Brightness, Manually or Automatically

Adjust your Echo Show or Echo Hub screen brightness manually, or set the device to do it automatically.

Note: Settings menu items for the Echo Hub and Echo Show 5 (all generations) may vary, and those devices will receive a software update soon.
  1. Say, "Go to Settings," or go to the device settings on your Echo Show:
    • If you're using Alexa+, select the Menu icon on your screen, and then select Settings.
    • If you're using the original Alexa, swipe down from the top of the screen and select Settings .
  2. Select Display & Appearance.
  3. Select Display.
  4. Use the Brightness slider to manually adjust screen brightness.
    Tip: With Alexa+, you can adjust the brightness on your Echo devices with a screen by selecting Menu and then use the brightness slider.
  5. Turn on Adaptive Brightness to make screen brightness automatically adjust according to light levels in the room.
  6. Turn on Sunrise Effect to gradually increase screen brightness before alarms.
  7. Turn on Auto-Dim to have the screen automatically dim after 10 minutes of inactivity.
