Connect Smart Light Bulb to Alexa

To control smart light bulbs, such as TP-Link, Govee, Philips Hue, and WiZ with your voice, connect them to Alexa.

Note: Check if your device was already connected to Alexa by Amazon's Frustration-Free Setup. Go to the Devices page in the Alexa app and check if your device is listed. If so, it's ready to use.

To connect your smart light bulb to Alexa:

  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. Open Devices .
  3. Select the plus icon .
  4. Select Add Device.
  5. Select Light and then select the brand you want to connect.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Important: Most smart home Wi-Fi devices only work on 2.4GHz bands.
