Prime for Students and 18-22 year-olds

Membership Structure

If you sign up for a Prime as a student or 18-22 year-old, you will receive an initial six-month trial period. After this, your membership will automatically renew into a paid Prime membership at a discounted rate (unless you cancel your trial or set it to not renew automatically before the trial period expires). The discounted rate applies for the following periods:

• If you sign up as a student, for as long as you are a student or for up to four years (whichever comes first); or
• If you sign up as an 18-22 year-old, until you turn 23.

At the end of the discounted period (as described above), and unless you cancel beforehand, your discounted membership will automatically renew into a regular Amazon Prime Membership (with all associated benefits) at the applicable rate.

Membership Benefits

During the six-month trial period, you'll receive the same benefits as a regular Prime member, except that:

• You may not invite your household members to share your Prime membership;
• You will only receive a single Twitch channel subscription for one month; and
• You won't have access to Kindle Owners' Lending Library.

Prime benefits are subject to restrictions, such as geographic limitations, as stated in the Amazon Prime Help page. You may also receive discounts and promotions, which we will communicate to you via e-mail or make available on the Prime for Students and 18-22 year-olds membership page.

You can change or cancel your Prime membership settings at any time by visiting Manage Your Prime Membership.

To sign up for and use Prime for Students and 18-22 year-olds, you must either:

(A) As a student:

1. Have an Amazon.co.uk account;
2. Be a student enrolled in a higher education institution geographically located in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland;
3. Be able to provide proof of enrolment upon request; and
4. Have an email address provided by an institution mentioned in (2). If you do not have a valid academic e-mail address, you may still sign up via an alternative sign-up process (click here to learn more). You may not use your academic e-mail address for more than one membership.

OR

(B) As an 18-22 year-old:

1. Have an Amazon.co.uk account;
2. Be aged between 18 and 22; and
3. Be able to upload a document to prove your age (a valid driving licence or passport).

We may ask you to furnish documentation supporting your eligibility. If you do not provide documentation indicating that you meet the eligibility requirements above, your discounted Prime membership will be cancelled.

If you sign up as a student, the discounted rate applies for as long as you are a student or for up to four years. If you sign up as an 18-22 year-old, the discounted rate applies until you turn 23. Customers can receive the discounted Prime for Students and 18-22 year-olds membership for a maximum period of six years.
