Connect Your Kindle E-Reader to Internet
Make sure you're within range of the network you want to connect to.
- From the home screen, swipe down to open the Quick Actions or select the Menu icon.
- Select All Settings or Settings, then Wi-Fi & Bluetooth or Wireless.
- Select Wi-Fi Networks and detected Wi-Fi networks appear.
If your Wi-Fi network is configured to be hidden or broadcast is deactivated, it won't be displayed in the list.
- Tap on desired Wi-Fi network or select Other to add it manually (for a hidden network).
- Enter the name of your network if applicable and then your Wi-Fi password or network key.
- Select Connect.
Note: Public hotspots may require a separate sign-in, usually through a pop-up. Load the service provider welcome page and enter the details to connect. Some public networks require a PIN, voucher code, or a One Time Password (OTP). Check with the service provider for more details.
Note: Select Kindle models support mobile carrier connectivity using 4G LTE. To see if your device supports free cellular mobile connectivity:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Device Options, and then select Device Info.
- Select Network Capability.
