Manage Your Amazon Kids+ Content Age Filters
The age filters recommended for your child based on their date of birth determine the titles shown in Amazon Kids+.
What Age Filters Do:
- Manage Amazon Kids+ subscription content that are shown to your child (games, books, videos, apps, and audiobooks)
- The search results will only return content that matches the filter
Age Filters do not control:
- Content outside the Amazon Kids+ subscription (e.g., content you buy or add yourself, or content shared from your own library)
- App usage or screen-time limits. These are managed separately in Parent Dashboard settings
Note:
- Expanded selection: You can turn on expanded selection to let your child discover more apps and games including some not designed exclusively for kids.
- Older age filters: Filters set for ages 12 and 13+ may include select content with more mature themes, based on regional standards for that age.
- Content type varies across compatible devices including Amazon Kids Kindle, Tablet, Fire TV, Echo and Alexa enable devices.
To adjust age filter:
- Go to Parent Dashboard.
- Select the Child Profile
- Select the Settings icon.
- Select Adjust Age and Language Filters.
- Adjust the Content Maturity Filter within the Amazon Kids+ Content
Note: You can now troubleshoot common issues and/or provide feedback about the app or Amazon Kids+ experience directly from the Parent Dashboard app:
- Select Menu in the top-left corner.
- Select Help & Feedback
- Choose the applicable option from the list
