Amazon Kids Age Filters Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The age filters recommended for your child based on their date of birth determine the titles shown in Amazon Kids+.

12 and 13+ settings will include select content with more mature themes based on regional standards for that age.

FAQ 1- How do I adjust age filters set for my child?

  1. Visit Parent Dashboard.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Adjust Age Filter and Theme.

On the Parent Dashboard app:

  1. Select Settings (gear icon) at the top right of your screen.
  2. Select the child profile you wish to manage.
  3. Select Adjust Age Filter within the Amazon Kids+ Content.

FAQ 2- How do I block my child from seeing a specific piece of Amazon Kids+ content?

  1. On Fire OS Tablet, go to Settings for your child profile.
  2. Select Remove Content.
  3. Select Remove Unwanted Amazon Kids+ Items.
  4. Search or browse for the title of the content you want to block.
  5. Select the title. A lock box confirms it's blocked.
Note: Age Filters only affect Amazon Kids+ subscription content. It doesn't apply to content that you share with the child from the store. This setting ensures that children access content that's approved as appropriate for their age. If you wish to update the range of content available in the child profile, you can visit the Parent Dashboard.

Tip: To adjust content for age-appropriate material, use the age filter to update your preferred lower and upper age ranges.
